MERRIMACK HOCKEY - Design
After serving as the videographer for Merrimack’s men’s hockey team for two years, I had the opportunity to take over graphic design for the 2025–26 season. My goal was simple: create visuals that were cohesive and distinctive.
For the playoff campaign, I leaned heavily into white and snow imagery to evoke the harsh, uncomfortable conditions of a blizzard—mirroring the challenge of playing against us, even as the eight seed. This approach also allowed the blue jerseys to stand out against the background, which we wore throughout the postseason.
The regular season campaign featured velvet textures and a vintage aesthetic, which I used to contrast with an almost entirely new roster. Additionally, promotional conference graphics incorporated vintage technology motifs as a metaphor for the history and rivalry within Hockey East.
Across both campaigns, the work resulted in some of the highest-performing graphics on the team’s social media platforms, driving strong engagement throughout the season.
